  1. Steel Beach June update

    12 June 2013 - 10:08 PM

Summer has begun and I've got the next couple months to work on projects for SB. I took a restock up to Gordon last week and I'm working on getting the OOS items filled in. There is also a new mask. SBA85020 is a camouflage mask set for the Dark Gray/Green OA-4M on the Furball sheet. I'll have the Dark Gray/Light Gray scheme at the end of June. I'm also trying to get the A3D projects done by the end of June as well. An exciting bit of news is that I've the new website up and running. I'll be continuing to add pictures of products over the next few months, but I've got a good start to the site. You can visit it at steel-beach.com. As always, thank you so much for your support and business. It is appreciated!
  2. 1/48 A3D wheels

    06 June 2013 - 11:33 PM

I pulled the test cast for a set of resin wheels for the 1/48 Trumpeter A3D. The hubs provided in the kit are for later versions. The bomber hubs didn't stick out prominently. I'll do a couple more test casts and them make multiple molds.

  3. A3D-2 decals

    03 June 2013 - 11:37 PM

    Hey Kursad,

I tried to PM you, but it said your mailbox wouldn't accept any more messages. I know you're working on A3D decals and thought I'd let you know that I'm releasing a dove tail/speed nose conversion. That would allow you to add some more diverse decal options to your sheets if you so chose. PM me if you have any questions.

    Cheers!
    Darren
  4. steel-beach.com is up and running

    31 May 2013 - 02:54 AM

My new website (steel-beach.com) is ready to go. As of right now, all links go directly to Sprue Brothers. However, the plan is to have each one go to a page with pictures, descriptions, etc. and then have a button to take you to Sprue Brothers to buy it. Also, I'm not the most creative person on the planet, so if you have any suggestions for improving the website, I'd love to hear them. It's a very basic format right now, but I wanted it to be functional. Also down the road, I plan on having a Resource button that will have various links to websites and other information that is useful to modelers. Please continue to send in your pictures of models using Steel Beach items so I can put them up. As always, thanks for your business and support. It is appreciated!
  5. Request for Steel Beach users

    29 May 2013 - 09:08 PM

I've started working on my new website and would love to have pictures of Steel Beach items "in use". If you have pictures of your work that I could include in the gallery section, please email them to me at droberts9799@comcast.net. Include your name, the manufacturer of the kit, and what SB items you used. Thanks!

Hi Darren! Did you receive my email regarding the painting of F-14?

I honestly don't know his intentions. I would hope that's not what he was doing! I'm wondering if his passion for VFA-103 came across wrong. Unfortunately, that can happen over the internet. Just so you know, I have no dog in this fight. You do great stuff and I'd hate to see you get zinged.
    Cheers!

    Darren:
Thanks but if Brian wanted to help he would have privately told me. I see this more of him wanting to bang my products because I moved into his market area.
