Looking forward to the race. It's a shame that there's not many kits of Le Mans cars available, I'd love to see the Lola B12 in 1/24 or 1/20.

DVR is already clear, and the recording priorities have been secretly adjusted.

Yes yes the DVR is setup! I don't remember them having that many hours of coverage during the night as they do this year. Not that there's much to see but still its cool.
Typically it will take me till August to get the time and the TV allowance to watch the entire race.
ugh
Anyone got a line on the over/under of how many laps the Delta Wing completes?
I'd be damn amazed if it makes it the whole race. In fact I'll be both elated and disappointed. Elated that a small team like that could do it with such an unknown but disappointed because if that's the future of racing cars I don't like it at all.

I have decided that I will spend the day decalling various in-progress Le Mans cars.
This may or may not involve some vroom-vroooming.
Not sure what the predictions are for the Delta Wing, though it's qualified in the middle of the LMP2 pack time-wise. Just finishing would be a pretty impressive result, I suspect. (granted, that's true for most entries, really...)

Very nasty crash for Anthony Davidson in the #8 Toyota - Piergiuseppe Perazzini's Ferrari clipped him and Davidson went airborne, whilst Perazzini went hard into the barrier sideways.

Fortunately it seems that both drivers have escaped serious injury.

Well broken vertebra isn't nothing, but I'm sure he'll take it.
Heartbraking out for the Delta Wing though. Terrible way to go out, but it'll be interesting to see if they strike back in 2014 with the rule changes.

They were reporting Davidson as OK when I posted, now the following morning he has fractured the T11 and T12 vertebrae. Looks like he'll be out of action for about 3 months. Real shame for the Deltawing, Kazuki Nakajima was a bit of a liability in F1 (although I'm hearing that some drivers were reporting that the Deltawing was hard to see on the track). Motoyama spent 90 minutes trying to repair the car at trackside;
Nakajima not looking in his mirrors...,(about 1:00 in)
Motoyama trying to fix the Deltawing

I'm only 4 hours into the race but I did just watch the crash video. Dam lucky. One of these years a gt driver is goin to kill an lmp driver.
That was terrible. They need gps sensors or something in the cars that makes an audible sound when another car is next to you. Like a long whistle when on one side and a beeping while on the other. Then you would subconsciously know which side traffic was on.
