Ok so I've ordered a 1:12 Ducati 888 but being a complete newbie with these modes I've been looking for step by step build guides, obviously it comes with instructions but I find it so much better learning how to paint it etc when I have something to follow!

What Iron Man said. I've built a couple of the Tamiya bike kits, and they are absolutely spectacular builds. Follow the instructions and you'll end up with a beautiful model. If you really want another guide though, check the build logs here on ARC. I know there is at least one build log for a bike, and I'm pretty sure it's a Ducati. I believe it was done by BigAssHamm.

Just check out my thread I pmed you and follow the instructions and you'll be fine. Some of the parts I don't even paint to have a difference between shades of black or silver or whatever. I know for certain when I did mine I left the rear sway bars chrome and they look great.
Go through the instructions and try to group parts that will be black, silver, aluminum, whatever. Then paint them all before you start constructing. Either still on the sprues or remove them and put them on toothpicks or whatever.

Actually I may still have some photos I gathered from the Internet on my computer. Pm me an email and I'll send them tomorrow if I can find them.
