Here's one of my Texas birds. It's the 1/72 Trumpeter F-105D with an Airwaves resin Thunderstick II spine. I used the Aires resin pit and wheels too which were much better than the kit parts.

This model represents an aircraft assigned to the 457 TFS (AFRES) based at Carswell in the early 80's...

Very nice looking Viper Clif. Now I'm feeling lonely. i still have weeks before my F-8 is even close to being finished. Hopefully I will make the deadline. Great job on all of the birds that have been finished they all look wonderful.

No worries mate, from what I've seen in your In-prog pix....it's gonna be well worth the wait. It's got me even considering finding a Monogram/Revell kit, and trying repeat trying to do a Crusader. with birds like that the seams inside the intake make me shake with dread like can of paint being shaken at Home Depot.

LOl yeah tell me about it. Thats one of the reasons why I tried the latex paint trick. It worked but proved to be more of a pain than it was worth. The Hasegawa kit is really done well though. The only complaint of the model itself that I have is the intake. Everything else went together like a dream.

Well Mike, my good man...when all you have to do most days is drag out a kit and work on it, it's not hard to finish one faster than the rest of the guys. It's do some modeling or go stir crazy (freakin' nutz). From what I've seen in the WIP, your's is gonna be something special, where as mine is average if that good.
