Hey Joe, It's been a while. Sgt. Williams is on vacation until sometime after Valentines Day. She has done absolutely NOTHING, ZILCH, NADA! I told her that I could find him in a week if she wants to hire me to come down there. She's not interested in doing anything that might make her do her job. She says he has disappeared--Bull-crap, and, you and I know it! He is sitting somewhere, probably wondering how he can ever straighten out this mess he got himself into? I don't know how he can look in the mirror and not get sick about what he did to all his friends!
HEY, DEAN, if you're reading this, how about dropping us suckers a line, and, maybe we can get this fixed for you? I know you must miss us?! Drop me an e-mail, Joe!

What I don't understand....
Is..why Paypal does not prosecute against that jerk!!....I paid via Paypal...lost because of timing delay (the jerk always responded with excuses!!)
So..I think that I was not the only one that was fouled using paypal....I sended them all the message concerning that jerk and the Police investigation..and the others message about it....they could not care less...
So I think that I have been rob twice....Dean Lehr and Paypal!!!
Many questions...left unanswered! :deadhorse1:

The reality is that it probably isn't worth it for Paypal to go after every single person that stiffed someone. The cost of filing a suit, finding them, serving them, going through a trial, and actually collecting on a judgment probably far outweighs what money they might actually recover (which might turn out to be zero). While a couple of hundred dollars may be a lot to an individual, it's nothing to how much Paypal moves around on a daily basis. People probably don't want to hear that, but that's how it is. Also, I think Paypal only has the right to go after someone if they have to pay back the money, because then they are the ones who lost out. If you pay someone via Paypal and don't get your stuff, and the time for resolution under Paypal's policy passes, then that's between the buyer and the seller. Paypal just acts as the intermediary to transfer the money.

Besides, people always have the option of trying the sue someone directly if they really want their money back.

Because of the amount of money, borders that were crossed, laws that were broken, There is a GREAT case against him, and, everyone (including him) knows that. What it all boils down to, is, that Detective, SGT. WILLIAMS, won't get off her lazy --- and, do her job. Like I told her, I could find him in a week, if I was on the case! She needs to get a different job!

I don't know what charges were issued on this subject but, if they issued a warrant he will be located sooner or later. Typically, he (and his vehicle) will be placed on NCIC. When he's stopped on a traffic violation, or tries to renew his DL, or get a license plate, it will pop up on the computer and he will be arrested. If he's smart he's left the state and moved several states over. Most states won't extradite very far unless it's a serious charge.

The arresting officer's dispatch will send a "Hit" to the Agency that placed the subject on NCIC and will ask if that Agency will extradite (come and get) the subject and take him back to stand trial. The Agency's extradition officer will then make a decision based on the type and severity of the crime. If they don't want to spend the time and money to go get him, they decline to extradite and the officer who has him in hand will let him go his way after he faces whatever charges that jurisdiction has on him. Happens ALL the time. Now, if they have him on a Federal charge, that's a horse of a different color.

All,

I just wanted to give you guys an update of what information that I have of late. I emailed SGT Williams earlier in the week to see if she had any updates on my case against Dean. She responded quickly and told me that after Dean was arrested and was to appear in court of his charges. He filed to have a pre-trial intervention which the judge signed it. I don't know what all this means, but all I do know is that when SGT Williams returned from her vacation, she said that she had checked with the solicitors record and that Dean had not responded to this. She said that he has until the end of this month to respond. Again I don't know what this all means or what happens next if Dean doesn't respond to the solicitor.

I did receive an email from SGT Williams today that ststed that Dean's wife is "selling" kits under the alias of "Ghostpaint" and using the name of Rachael Carico. Sorry if this is old news but due to my work schedule, I have not been able to keep in touch with things here on the board like I would like to.

Best Regards,
Ken Bailey

Thanks for the update Ken, looks like nothing will happen to Dean and his wife has taken over the "store". At this point if i had my choice of getting my money back or something REAL bad happening to Dean, i think i would take the later.

Hey Guys, just a short update about Dean. I received a reply from Dean after I sent a very harsh written e-mail to him, (I won`t go into what I said but needless to say, it got his attention). He stated that he was in a court ordered program to repay everyone he still owes money and was following thru with it. I`ll reluctantly give him the benefit of doubt, but will believe him when and if I do receive the payment. I`ll keep you posted, Dan

Yes he has his wife/so/swmbo Lisa/Nemo/Rachel selling his non-existent stuff as fast as she can! A WORD OF CAUTION: if the person you contemplate buying from lives in SC, especially near the SC/NC border, be very suspicious.

Whoa Nelly! We're not all bad down here. For the record, as far as I know no one has ever had a bad deal from me and I intent to keep it that way. I can't account for Dean and his wicked ways and hate that he may have tarnished all SC traders. And for geographical purposes, he lives in Summerville, down by Charleston, on the coast. About 20 miles inland.

Not to hijack the thread, but you're aces in my book Chris. Besides I own a place in Myrtle Beach, so I guess you could say I am sort of a part-time SC resident or at least my money is! :wierdo:

Yeah....that is a dangerous path to go down.

We have a serious problem like this in the Battletech community. There are several guys making reproduction battletech miniatures out of melted down fish weights and selling them on Ebay based in my area. Now because I happen to live in the same round about area as these knuckle heads, almost no one will strike up trades with me unless I agree to taking the risk of sending first and even then I get a ration of poo. As a result, I can't get my hands on harder to find out of print stuff. It's no fun and down right unfair. I have dealt with many people in SC and had great trading experiences with them. Don't let one bad seed destroy it for everyone.

Don't get your hopes up, he screwed me over in '08 and have yet to see a dime from this POS excuse for a human. He has told me several times that he would "make things right" and, blah blah blah blah blah. I also contacted Sgt. Williams and gave her all my emails with that POS. I also gave her the copy of the US postal MO that he cashed and as of today, i've not got jack! I hope U have better luck.

All,

I just wanted to bring this post back up to the top since I haven't heard anything in the past few months. It has been over a year now since the scum bag sent me a notice saying that the kits were mailed and were lost and found by Fed Ex in a warehose in Chicago. I haven't heard anything from SGT Williams either. The last communication that I received from her was that Dean wa overdue contacting the court solicitor and that he had until the first of March to comply with his court order of face being hauled back into jail. Does anybody know if this happened? Any new, more recent updates would be appreciated. Thanks!

Best Regards,

All,

Well here it is October and I still haven't heard any "new" news from the scumbag in South Carolina. As I was tracking the case on my computer at work and have lost all of my old information, could someone post or send me via PM the contact information for SGT Williams at the Summerville P.D.? I would love to have at least one of the Kinetics E-2 Hawkeyes of the 10 that was paid for. I am fearful now that if the case through Summerville courts has "fallen through" that the statues of limitation have already expired on any of the case that I may be able to file. Stuff like mail fraud, theft by deception, or etc. Thanks, gujys!

Best Regards,
Ken Bailey
