What could have been for Lewis this year. Definitely the quickest driver of the year.

Anyone going to Austin? I expect pictures.

Hate that they put that race there. I have absolutely no desire to ever go to Texas let alone to watch an F1 race there. I can't justify the airfare and hotel cost just to see a race when there's nothing else around.

I really hope the NJ race kicks off either next year or the year after. Within driving distance and has the added bonus of NYC to attract the wife to.

I was there for the USGP.

COTA is a nice track, it will be better when they get it finished. Getting that many people to and from the race still needs a little work. There was a little chaos and disorder, but that is expected when a venue has an event this big for the first time.

I am just glad they did it in November, not August as originally planned, or I would have never gone.

I guess Bernie isn't willing to pay off the mob/unions to make that GP happen in NJ.

Or, to put it another way, maybe the mob/unions aren't willing to pay Bernie...

On a plastic related side.

If you liked this season you can get cars such as

McLaren MP4-27 (available)
Ferrari F2012 (I think available but could be wrong)
Sauber C31 (Jan 13)
and rumored Lotus E20 (july 13?)

all from Fujimi!

Also Tamiya just released the Red Bull RB6 from 2010 and it's rumored will also be releasing the Toro Rosso STR5 from the same season. (basically same kit with different decals)

It's a good time to build modern F1

For me the highlight of the year was Kimi. He was the one who entertained me the most. Also, his 20 finishes were really impressive. At the end he managed to finish third in the championship which was fantastic IMHO.

Eagerly waiting for 2013.

The McLaren MP4/27 has just landed at Hiroboy.

I got my two already from Hobbylink Japan. Need to order some more paint and gloss before I can get one started.

Still waiting on my box of RB6s to arrive.

The Fujimi Sauber C30 is now listed on Hiroboy as well.

Yeah the C30 has been out for a bit. The curbside for a while and the engined kit for a month or so. The C31 comes out in January I believe.

Do you buy from Hiro?
Their prices are somewhat outrageous to me.

For me, Hiroboy is good for the 'expensive' kits (MFH etc) as I can get a tracked delivery to my door for around the same price as it would cost to get them shipped to the UK from Japan without the risk of them being lost in the post and getting hit with extortionate customs fees, and they're the only place to go to get Zero Paints. For the 'cheaper' kits (like the Fujimi) I find it's better to get them direct from Japan or through Ebay, as even with the postage and the customs charges it's cheaper than Hiroboy.

Yea you guys in the UK get basted by the import duties charges. Which I guess Hiro includes in their pricing. I love the paints and will forever get them but I can't see buying a kit there. They have the Fujimi Senna carts for around 45$ where everywhere else is under 25$.
